Beautiful Roses

Old Fashioned Roses is such a beautiful stamp!   I opted not to put a verse on the front so I can use it  for almost any reason: a birthday card, a Mother's Day card,  a get well card, a sympathy card, or just a thinking of you card.

I watercolored it on water color paper.  First I stamped it with Versafine black ink using a stamp platform similar to a MISTI.  Then I watercolored itm, and adhered teeny tiny beads here and there along the edges of flowers or the leaves. Can you see the beads?  I misted it with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper spray.  What a beautiful shimmer!

Just for You!

I used a stamping platform to create this card.  I inked up the stamp with markers and stamped it on the watercolor paper.   I just continued inking the stamp and pressing it down until i got the image I like.  This is a Stampin" Up! stamp.

I scribble some grass lines with a fine point marker and then with a bit of water spread the ink around.

This will make a wonderful sympathy or a masculine birthday card.  It could also be a get well card.

Those Who Believe

Such a sweet card using the Technique Junkie Fairy Garden stamp set.  There are TEN stamps in this set! It is watercolored on watercolor paper.   Then at the end I spritzed it with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper spray.  What a lovely shimmer to the card front of this card.  I adhered a few beads here and there for visual interest.

The Light Remains

I felt the verse Light  Remains paired beautifully with the Van Gogh Starry Starry Night stamp.   I inked the Starry Starry Night with Versamark ink, and then again with navy ink.  I used a stamp platform like the MISTI to stamp it.  I reinked the stamp repeating the Versamark and then the navy ink until I had a good sharp image.  I did the same thing with the verse.

I covered both images with clear embossing powder and heat set set the powder on both of the stamped pieces.  I sponged on yellow ink on both and adhered tiny star sequins on pieces.  Layering and adhering the verse created the finished card.

This would be a beautiful sympathy card.  Unfortunately we all need those.

Love is Forever

I used more subdue colors to watercolor Old Fashioned Roses.  I added some teeny tiny beads here and there for visual interest.   I stamped the verse from Mae West Sentiments on brown vellum  and adhered it to the card front with my Xyron machine.   This would make a lovely wedding or anniversary card.

You Are Strong

The butterfly halves in the stamp How Strong You Are are so beautiful, I wanted to have several whole butterflies on my card.  So I positioned the two halves on an acrylic block and stamped them with Versafine black ink and then heat embossed them.   I painted them with Twinkling H2Os.  Because there was no "body" on the stamp i used a die cut butterfly body and just drew in the antennae. Then I used the Interlocking Leaves stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with ink blending brushes to create the background.  These brushes make it possible to add color in just the areas you want, and not everywhere.

I stamped the verse with black Versafine ink and heat embossed it.  I layered it with the same colors of card stock as I used for the focal image layers.

Where I Intended

Live Magically

I used a number of the stamps in the Fairy Garden set to create this card.   I used Twinkling H2Os to color the images.  Then I used the Diamond Fade from A Colorful Life Designs with the ink blending brushes to add the sky.   The greeting is heat embossed on  pink vellum and adhered with adhesive from my Xyron machine. Some pastel beads add embellishments.

Magic!

The roses in the new release of  Old Fashioned Roses are so very pretty.  I used some water colors to paint them.  I used the ink blending brushes to create a background behind the roses with the Lace Doily from A Colorful Life Designs.

Then I stamped You Add Magic to yellow vellum and heat embossed it.  I tore the top and bottom edges of the vellum before adhering it to the card front with my Xyron machine.

Red Poppies

I used Gothic Swirl stencil from A Colorful Life Designs  and Imperial Yellow Shimmering Bliss to create the background layer.   I colored the Poppy Teapot image with Copic markers.  Then I used the Mermaid Scales  from A Colorful Life Designs for the background of the focal image.

You Are Fabulous!

The You Are Old March release is a fun stamp set for a birthday card!!  I only used the first three sayings on the fron and the birthday greeting on the inside.  

A highlighted embossed panel embellished with beads add to the visual interest of the front of the card.  I sprayed Dazzle Shimmering Bliss on the front.

I ran a piece of card stock in an embossing folder through my Big Shot.  I highlighted the embossed parts with  a darker ink. Then I spritzed it with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss spray.

Marvelous March! Marvelous New Stamps!

My first card uses Poppy Teapot , and words from Sentimental Sayings.  It is water colored and misted with water.  I used a distressing tool to distress the edges. And I added a few tiny beads for an accent.  

For this card I used  You Are Old and Watercolor Flowers.  I used a stamp positioner (such as a MISTI) to create this card.  I used a pale blue card stock for the base layer. I applied color with markers direct to the stamp and stamping it over and over until I got the depth of various colors I wanted to achieve.  Then inked up the stamp a couple of times with Versamark and stamped it.  Then I reinked the stamp the more Versamark, and restamped it.  Then I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.  While the embossing powder was still hot, I dipped this into my container of clear embossing powder and heat set it again.  That added a smooth depth to the embossing powder and flowers.   I stamped the greeting on another piece of the same pale blue cardstock as the base layer with black Versafine ink.  I covered it with black detail embossing powder and heat set it.  Then I carefully trimmed each line of the verse and layered each of the four parts on coordinating colors of cardstock.  Some of the pieces were adhered directly to the base layer, and some were popped up  with dimensional foam tape.  I spritzed the card front with  Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Spray.  It is a wonderful birthday card for those of us who are "Chronologically Mature" and have a sense of humor!

My last card for today uses Watercolor Birds and You Add Magic  from the March Release.  It is a wonderful birthday card  for family, good friends, and grandchildren!!!   I used Twinkling H2Os to paint the scene.  Then I used  the Arrowhead Chevron Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  I used ink blending brushes and ink to add color through the stencil.  Then I added the flowers to the tree branches.  I spritzed some Thulian Pink Shimmering Bliss on my solid work surface and added a little water to dilute it some.  Then I carefully painted the flowers  with this mixture.  I added the verse across the card front and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.
