Summer Flowers

I used the Dragon Skin stencil from A Colorful Life Designs for the background.  It was colored in  with the Ink Blending Brushes. The flower stems were also colored with the Ink Blending Brushes. The sentiment  is Walkin' on Sunshine.   I used dye based markers direct to rubber on Daisy Garden for the envelope. 

The rose image was water colored, and the background uses Lace Doily Stencil from A Colorful life Designs.   I used the ink blending brushes  to color through the stencil for the background.

To the Ocean

I used Mermaid on Rock and  Find My Soul.   The mermaid was stamped with Memento ink and colored with Twinkling H2O's.  I did use a Copic marker for her skin.  The verse was heat embossed.  

I used a home made cloud stencil for the sky and Swirl Mat stencil from A Colorful Life Designs  for the ocean water and waves.

I used The First to Apologize  and Forget Me Nots for the background.   I stamped both with white pigment ink and heat embossed them.  Then I sprayed both with Dragon's Blood Shimmering Bliss spray and heat dried.   You could use any color you wish of Shimmering Bliss.

Paint with Peace!

This card uses Faces of Diversity and Celebrate Diversity.  The verse was heat embossed.  I will  not lie and say coloring these faces was quick, but how I did it made it faster!  I did it assembly line style.   Using my Copic markers I chose a skin color and then chose faces for that skin color.  Then the next skin color, and so on.  Then I did the hair. Last was the clothing.   I found the colored the strip of paper and thought it went with the verse.   We certainly live in a diverse culture.  

I also spritzed the top with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper!  Love this stuff!!

Enjoy Every Moment

 Everyone seems to be buying the Cloud Edger Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  It is wonderful for creating realistic  clouds.  I used a long post-it note to create the horizon.   You can go to You Tube and find a few.  Dina Kowal and Chris Dayton both have videos on using this stencil.   I used this stencil to create the hills on the side and to create rippling waves in the water.

I also used Enjoy Every Moment from Technique Junkies, and a small group of birds stamp and I don't remember where they are from.

To create this card I used both Do A Flip  and a sentiment set from Inside Out Silence Is Golden.

To create the background I used an embossing folder, then I sprayed the embossed piece with several shades of Shimmering Bliss.  I heat set it dry.  Then I added  Versamark ink to the entire surface and used a light color of embossing glaze which is translucent.

In This Together

First I stamped World Compass  in a blue ink.  I used a water brush to blend out the blue ink just a bit.  Then while everything was still in my stamping platform I inked up the stamp again with Versafine  black ink and heat embossed it with clear powder.    I stamped the background stamp Faces of Diversity in a dark brown ink on tan cardstock.  I used the stamping platform to be able to line this up easily.  The verse is from the set Celebrate Diversity and is heat embossed.

Awesome August Technique Junkies Release with a SAle!

Today is the day, THE DAY that the Technique Junkies Stamps August Release happens!  All of the August Release stamps are automatically 15% off when you check out.  And these stamps are so different.  You will like them.  

Start off looking at the stamps by looking here at  the Technique Junkies Blog . Be sure to look at every designer's blog as the cards as AWESOME!!

My first card uses Faces of Diversity  and Love, Faith, and Peace.   After stamping I sprayed three colors of Shimmering Bliss to add the colors.  Use your three favorite colors.

Then I used  Glue Stick and Just the Lipstick tube and speckles from Putting on Lipstick.   Both stamps were heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.   The colors in the background behind the lipstick are created with Shimmering Bliss.  I added a few Nuvo Drops here and there.  The other background was a piece I created sometime ago and I am sorry I don't remember what I did. 😏

Here I used Mad Mod Lace and the verse is from a set of six called Celebrate Diversity.   The verse is heat embossed.   I stamped the lace in my stamping platform with Memento black ink.  I let it dry and then colored the elements with Copic Markers.  Then I restamped it (it was still in position in my stamping platform) with Versafine black ink, and heat embossed it.  It wanted the lace heat embossed but Versafine -- even heat embossed - is NOT Copic friendly and it smears.  It is a pigment ink after all.  But a stamping platform comes the rescue!!
