Day 5 of the Technique Junkies 30 Days of Christmas!

I used Christmas Lights and one of the lovely verse stamps from Gifts of Christmas.   The lights were colored in with Copic markers.  The greeting was heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.   And a few green sequins were added.

I decided to cut the Christmas lights into two pieces, and I very carefully cut them apart leaving the rubber attached so i could easily put it back together like a puzzle.  Then it would stamp as though it had never been cut apart.  That is how i created the space in the middle.

My Grandmother and My Father

This  is a card I created a long time ago. And I made two of these cards.  One was mailed to my sister.  I kept the other one and have been unable to mail it or to part with it.  The reason is that is a picture of my grandmother and my father when he was about 3 years old.  So this picture was taken in about 1909.

I used a technique called Tin Type from a longtime ago. Some of the materials used to make the card are unable to be purchased any more.

Have a great day -- and get inky.

Learn to Surf

I used Pom Pom Swag on top of Alcohol inks using the Lift ink from Ranger.  I heat embossed the verse Learn to Surf  with detail black embossing powder.   I decided to use the verse because the end result with the Pom Pom Swag looked like the ocean foam to me.  I added a few sequins for embellishments.

Grant Me Serenity

I used Pom Pom Swag and Serenity Cross for this card, both of which are Technique Junkies Stamps.  To create the background I used Antique Glimmers with Shimmering Bliss.  After I heat set it to dry I then stamped and heat embossed the Pom Pom Swag.

I repeated the Antique glimmers with softer colors of the Shimmering Bliss, and stamped the image over the dry card stock.

Wishes Come True!

I used two different Technique Junkies stamps for this card.  I used Keep Believing  and Queen Anne's Lace.  The focal image was colored with Copic Markers, and the sky was sponged on.  The background was stamped in gray and then spritzed with Shimmering Bliss.   I cut the background image in three panels and layered everything.

Trust in the Lord

I used two Technique Junkies stamps on this card.    I used Saying Grace and Proverbs.

I stamped the stamp with Versamark, and then used chalk over the Versamark to color in the image.  When you do this, the Versamark seals the chalk and you need no other sealer.  The verse was heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.

Merry Chris Moose!

This moose is just cute in the Technique Junkies Chris Moose stamp.  He is colored with Copic Markers  I used Nuvo Glitter Markers to color the lights wrapped around his antlers.

Then I used a lovely Colorful Life Stencil - Christmas Trio Stencil.   I only used the pine cone section and it was perfect to add some interest for the background!

Holly Berries!

This Holly Berries stamp is so pretty!  I did two things to make it shine! I used just regular water colors to paint the image.  Then I used a Versamark pen and went over the leaves with a heavy hand. Then I sprinkled the leaves with clear embossing powder.  I repeated that process until there was a thick, shiny layer of clear embossing on the surface.  When I felt it was the last heat embossing step I sprinkled a small amount of glitter over the embossing powder.  It stuck and as the embossing powder melted the glitter sank into it.  So pretty.  Then I added Diamond Glaze over the berries.  There are also a few sequins on the berries.  So pretty.

Wishing You a Merry Christmas

I used two Technique Junkies Stamps to create this card.  I used Christmas Lights - an October release, and I used Merry Christmas Wishes for the focal image.

I colored both parts with my Copic markers. Then on the focal image I highlighted the letters with my Kaisercraft Gel Pens.  The ink in these is just very smooth.  I have had them for several months and they keep on writing!

Sequins and a bit of gold fiber complete the card!

Pink Poinsettias

To create this card I used several Technique Junkies products.  I used Poinsettias - Set of 4, and Merry Christmas 2 stamps.   I used a Colorful Life Stencil - Triangle Doodles Mask. And I used two shades of Aladine IZINK Dye based ink pads -- Grenadine and Aurore-Dawn through the stencil.  I also used Pixie Spray to keep the stencil in place while I applied the ink through the stencil.  This is a wonderful product!

I stamped the large poinsettia first, and then I stamped it a sticky note and fussy cut it out for a mask! Then i stamped the smaller poinsettia twice - once on each side.

I used a hot pink Nuvo Embellishment mousse for the poinsettias, a light green one for the leaves plus a dye based mossy colored marker.  I used the stencil AFTER I had stamped and painted the poinsettias.  I used the stencil and ink just on the lower portion of the pink card stock.

The greeting is an older stamp but fit this small space very well.

These are all wonderful stamps but getting them for 15% off is even better.  All of the newly released October stamps are 15% through October 8 -- which is tomorrow!
But you can also get another 10% off by using my personal code -- TJ10Judy -- in the coupon box as you check out.
