A Girl Should Be---

This saying is so true.  Technique Junkies Who and What She Wants was a January release.   The lady is only part of the Technique Junkies Stamp  Grace in Her Heart.  It was stamp and then heat embossed several times to get a very smooth glossy effect.  The last layer of embossing powder (and only on her hair) had multi-colored flecks in the black embossing powder.  

The lady stamp and the saying were  layered and then positioned on  off white script on black  background paper.

Your Own Magic

I watercolored this beautiful peacock and sprayed it a bit of water to get the paint to "run." I sponged the edge of the focal image.  Then I sprayed it all with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss to give the delightful shimmer peacock feathers are known for. A few star sequins  frame Your Own Magic stamp.

Giraffe Advice

Advice from a Giraffe was stamped on a pale gray card stock.  It was heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.   I used Arrowhead Chevron stencil from A Colorful Life Designs over the words and the giraffe.  I sprayed Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Spray over the stencil.   When it was heat set, it left gorgeous spots of shimmer over the giraffe.

Believe in Magic

I have always thought that peacocks are just beautiful. Their long feathers sparkle and shimmer almost like magic.  This peacock in Your Own Magic  captures that kind of magic!  It is a wonderful Technique Junkies stamp!  It is watercolored with Twinkling H2Os so I could get the sparkle close to nature.

I used the Lace Doily from A Colorful Life Design  on the background layer.  I sprayed several Shimmering Bliss sprays to coordinate with the colors in the peacock. I heat set it to dry the ink completely.  Then I stamped Particle Flow and heat embossed it with dark blue embossing powder.

Sweet Giraffes

 Technique Junkies stamps Giraffe Print and Savannah Giraffes go together so well.  I sponged the sky with several golden shades and the word "sweet"  comes from the stamp set Sentimental Sayings.  I used only one word from one of the sayings in this set.  The giraffes are heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.

I used Imperial Yellow Shimmering Bliss spray over A Colorful Life Design stencil called Mermaid Scales.

Best Things in Life!!

As we grow "chronologically mature" we often find that what was important to us in our twenties is not really the things that matter after all.   And we discover that the Best Things in Life  are exactly what this new Technique Junkies stamp states so well!

The fern and the words are heat embossed  on Vellum.   I used Shimmering Bliss Sprays on the background panel with a Colorful Life Stencil.  I had cut the fern away from the words  so now I have two stamps instead of only one.   So I stamped the fern in dark green ink  over the sprayed stencil image.

A ribbon bow is added under the vellum and two shades of green to add layers to the finished card complete it.

Love is Forever

I have visited the southwestern United States several times.  That section of our country has its own special beauty.  It is not the beauty of colorful flowers and green grass and leaves,  but nonetheless,  it is certainly beautiful.I saw these dies at a rubber stamp show last year, and immediately thought of  the Technique Junkies Desert Landscape Border stamp.   

The sunset sky in the southwest is full of yellows, reds, and oranges.   I created that sunset sky by sponging  ink over a home made cloud stencil.  Then I used  A Colorful Life Designs Stencils  Circle Mosaic and sprayed  Shimmering Bliss  Imperial Yellow over the Circle Mosaic stencil.

Various shades of vellum  create the scene with the help of the desert landscape dies.  The vellum die  cuts were adhered to the scene using my Xyron machines. 

The greeting at the top is from Mae West Sentiments and was heat embossed with Silver Pearl embossing powder.

Sisters Get It!

Siblings are important.  Have you ever thought about the fact that more than likely your siblings are the people you will know longer in your life than anyone else.  They have often experienced many of the same things you did growing up.  That creates a special bond.  The card celebrates that special bond - because A Sister Just Gets It.  Sisters are family and friends.  Besties celebrates that too!  Both stamps are Technique Junkies stamps.

The image is colored with Copic markers.  I used a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and sprayed Shimmering Bliss Dazzle over the stencil on top of the background paper.

All of us always want to look our best -- if possible.  And for most of  us, we always want to look good when our picture is being taken.  So using Like A Camera   and pairing it with More Fabulous works well.   The photographer was colored with Copic markers. The stencil is from A Colorful Life Designs.  It was sprayed with a variety of  Shimmering Bliss Sprays.

I can see this as a birthday card, thinking of you card, a Mother's Day card, and more.

This card uses the new stamp Best Things in Life.  I cut the stamped words apart in phrases and framed them using colors from the "background paper" which is really a colorful shopping bag!  The fern from the stamp was stamped randomly on vellum and then heat embossed.  I tore it to add dimension.  Then I ran through my Xyron machine to attach it to the background paper. I glued on a few beads here and there.

My first card for you today is below.  The background is Pom Pom Swag.  The two ladies are really and truly sisters!!  Do A Flip! is Pat Huntoon and her sister.   Ofd course the new stamp A Sister Just Gets It is just perfect with the real "sisters."  I used Copic markers to color the sisters.

Giraffes are such special animals. They are so tall and stately! And the way they move is with great grace. The background is a new Technique Junkie release Giraffe Print.  The focal image is Advice From a Giraffe.  It is also a new Technique Junkies release.   I first inked the stamp with Versamark, and then with the rust ink.  Then I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat embossed the powder.

New release Particle Flow is such interesting stamp.    I stamped in four different colors and clear embossed each color. I used gold vellum and die cut a fancy shape.  Since the aqua ink was in the middle, I heat embossed the aqua embossing powder over the stamped image of  Your Own Image,  a new Technique Junkie release.
