With Deepest Sympathy

No matter the season,  death occurs.  No matter the season, when death does occur friends (and extended family) need to remember those for whom this deepest loss does occur.   I know all too well.  When my husband of nearly 47 years suddenly passed away,  sympathy cards meant a lot to me.  In some cases it was like a hug from far away.  I still have every sympathy sent to me during that time five years ago.

It also seems like the need for sympathy cards come in bunches.  I usually have several ready.  I didn't this year.  In the last week to ten days I have needed about six.  I cannot imagine dealing with great grief at Christmas time.  If I could reach out and give all of these friends a huge hug I would.  But I cannot -- most are too far away.  And unfortunately Covid19 prevents hugs to those who are in my same area.  So my cards will have to suffice as hugs.

So this week, I sat down to make several sympathy cards.  I will need to sit down and make more right after Christmas.  I do not want to be caught short handed again!!

The praying for you stamp is a Stampin' Up stamp -- and retired.  The center stamp  is a Stampers Anonymous stamp and I think it may still be available.  The other stamps are Technique Junkies stamps: Key ScriptFrench Text, and A Colorful Life Designs Stencil Gothic Swirl.   To apply color I used sponges, Ink Blending Brushes from Technique Junkies,  and Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss spray.   Then to add a final touch of light shimmer, I used Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper.

I hope my card conveys not only sympathy over their loss of a loved one, and love and caring for the family as well.  And I hope despite each family's loss they are able to celebrate Christmas with the joy  of remembering our Savior's birth brings!
