Wildly Capable

I stamped Chrysanthemums with Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers.  I carefully sponged a little blue ink in the open spaces for the sky.  I stamped Wildly Capable on a small scrap of paper.  This is a great card to encourage someone or for a graduation card.

It's Your Birthday!!!

The background Baseballs! was stamped with a light brown ink.   Then I stamped Baseball in Motion with  back pigment ink on top.   I covered it with clear detail embossing powder and heat set.  The greeting is from Swing the Fences.  I stamped it with black pigment ink, covered with clear embossing powder, and heat set.

Farm Fresh!!

 

Garden vegetables!!! Yum.  I can hardly wait to eat fresh garden veggies.  Besides the lovely warm weather, fresh garden veggies is something I look forward to.   I used 2 Technique Junkies stamps for this card:  Farm Fresh and Garden Vegetable Basket.  I colored in the vegetables with Copic markers.  A slim line die was used to cut the openings and the outside edge.  It also cut a stitched border in the green part for each window.  This card will fit inside a regular long business envelope.  I can't give you the exact measurements because nearly all of my stamping supplies are in my car read to return to Pennsylvania for the rest of the year.  I leave for home in a few days.

Swing for the Fences

I inked up the middle of Baseballs so I wouldn't have a line edge from the stamp and stamped it  at the bottom and top edge of the card. I used  the mitt stamp from Swing for the Fences set and I used it by stamping it in several generations each one getting lighter.  The greeting is also from Swing for the Fences and is heat embossed.  I spritzed Harvest Shimmering Bliss lightly over the card before adding the flowers which add a textural accent to the card.

Congratulations!

I created this card for my great great niece who had both a piano and cello recital.  It was amazing!  She had only been playing the piano for 9 moths and did a phenomenal job.  It sounded like she had been playing for years.  She is super talented.  

The Wildflower Silhouette stamp paired with the Cloud Edger and the Landscape Ray stencils from A Colorful Life Designs work perfectly.  I used ink blending brushes to add color through and around the stencils.  I spritzed  Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper over the card when finished.  The Congratulations greeting was purchased from a big box store.  I am currently in Florida and prepared to head home to PA and all of my stamping stuff is packed.

With Deep Sympathy

This is a mini slimline card.  The measurements are 6 1/2 inches by 3 1/4 inches when folded.  The base card size before folding is 6 1/2 inches by  6 1/2 inches scored and folded in half.

The background on the front of the card is created with the Antique Glimmers technique.  I heat set it and then stamped Wildflower Silhouette with black pigment ink in a stamping platform so I could stamp it again and again until I was sure the ink was evenly applied for heat embossing with clear embossing powder.  I adhered a few sequins as embellishments.  I used both images in Brighter and Better Place.   I used a sheet of acetate over the inside of the card to stamp and be sure The verse would not be stamped over the middle crease of the card.  Both images were heat embossed with 

clear embossing powder.

In the Garden of Life

This is another Z-fold card  -- this time horizontal.  The card measurements are 11 inches by 4 1/2 inches.  Score at at 5 1/2 inches and then  at 2 3/4 inches and fold back.   I used the A Colorful Life Designs Stencil called Overlapping Lines with a blending brush and green ink to create the background.  I colored Wildflower Border with Copic markers.   The verse is from a set called In Full Bloom Sentiments.   I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.   The tag is adhered  under the Wildflower Border image.  I used the Cloud Edger Stencil to create the sky with an ink blending brush.  A few sequins were adhered for visual interest.

Light House Vertical Z-Fold Card

This is a typical Z-fold card -- but the usual orientation is horizontal.  I turned it vertical.  Cut your base card stock at 11inches by 4 1/4 inches.   Score at 5 1/2 inches and 2 3/4 inches.  The measurements are the same  whether the orientation  is horizontal or vertical.  This is a Z-fold card I did on April 4, 2020. 

For today's card I used several Technique Junkie's stamps:  Wildflower Silhouettes from the April 2021 Release,  Vintage Lighthouse, and a verse from Mae West Sentiments. 

I used a 3 x5 sticky note to form the horizon line.  Then I applied  several shades of blues, a light green and a light purple to create the water.  To create the sky I punched a circle from 2 pieces of sticky notes neat the sticky part.  I placed the hole  a short distance away from the  horizon line and using a sponge dauber I colored in the sun, and then added a lighter reflection in the water.  Next I colored the sun with the punched out circle.  The I used the 3x5 sticky note and covered the water leaving the sky a blank canvas.  Then I used the Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.    I used a variety of ink colors with an ink blending brush,   Then I used a sponge with darker blue  around the edges to try and imitate a night time sunset.  

The flowers and the verse were heat embossed with clear embossing powder over black pigment ink.

Increasing In Value

I dry embossed the sandy colored card stock with an embossing folder.  I colored Wildflower Border with Copic markers. I sponged a medium blue color to the edge and and onto the background behind the flower.  The verse is Increasing in Value and was heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  It's a great verse for birthdays!

Dream Big!

I used 3 stamps to create this card.  I used Pollack, Big,  and Garden Tools.   Pollack reminds me of dirt splotches around the side walk and my tools when I plant my little garden.  Every gardener dreams big when they plant their garden - hoping for a large harvest.   I colored the images with Copic Markers.  The blue is burnished over the card stock.

Winter and Baseball

 

 Did you know the baseball season officially started on Thursday April 1, 2021?  I sure didn't but I heard it on the news.  I have nephews who love baseball.  I have a nephew who posted the saying on the tag on the last official date of winter.  I had nephew thought about it before!

To create this card I used A Colorful Life Designs Stencil called Overlapping Lines.  I applied green ink through the lines with a blending brush on off white cardstock.   I  did the same on a smaller scrap of off white card stock.   Then I stamped Baseball in Motion with dark brown pigment ink.  I used a stamping platform  and repeated until I was pleased with the depth of color.  I covered it with clear embossing powder and heat embossed.    I sponged brown ink around the edges.

To create the tag I stamped a baseball mitt from Swing for the Fences with a lighter brown ink.  The verse was also stamped with dark brown pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a die to cut out the tag.  I cut a second one of dark brown card stock.  I cut that die cut in half and adhered the two halves  to frame the tag.

Its a great card to celebrate the beginning of the baseball season.
