I strongly dislike -- perhaps even hate- winter. When I was much younger i loved it when it snowed. But most of my childhood and teen years were spent in the southern half of our country. My dad was in the army and we lived all over. Most of that time we did not have much snow at all where we lived. Then I married a wonderful man from Rochester, NY. That is Upstate New York. That is next to Lake Ontario. The first winter we lived there it snowed, and snowed, and snowed. I do not believe in all of the years prior too that I had ever seen that much snow. Ever! That winter we had three blizzards with accumulation of 20 inches or more each blizzard. Schools were closed, and closed, AND closed. And yet we continued to live there. And we lived in New York State for the next 33 years! By that time I was sick of snow and cold and ice. We retired and moved to southern Pennsylvania near family. We still had snow but not like Upstate New York. Later we decided to winter in Florida where winter is much better. So I am glad for April with its promise of Spring and sunny warm days. And I am glad for new April stamps -- and those full of flowers.
And as always the new Technique Junkies stamps are 15% through April 8! Make sure you go shopping soon!
The April Release Technique Junkies Stamps blog hop starts with the Design Team blog and Jeanne Streiff heading it up!
My first card used the new stamp Floral Border 2 and a verse from Anniversary Set - Set of 7. I used cold press water color and heat embossed both the verse and the floral stamp which was stamped three times. I used dye based markers and a water brush. Then I sponged on a light yellow color.
While we lived in Rochester, NY they had their annual lilac festival every year. I love lilacs. Then my hubby learned he was allergic to them - so none for our yard. I used the Lilacs background stamp and a different verse from the Anniversary Set - Set of 7. I used Twinkling H2Os to apint the leaves and flowers. After that was dry I sponged on ink for the sky.
My last card features the adorable stamp "I Like to Party." It is the free any $30 purchase (before taxes and shipping) during the month of April. And come May it will be available for purchase but why wait? You can get it now!! I wanted to make this card use a bunch of crafting stuff. I used background paper, A Colorful Life Stencils, TJ Shimmering Bliss sprays, glitter tape (mine is not TJ), and Art Nuvo drops.

Fun cards, Judy!
Beautiful cards, Judy. The first one is so bright and cheery in all that yellow. Pretty ribbon to match your lilac on the second card, and let's get down and party is clearly apparent in your third card. Your banners really make the stamp pop.
We love lilacs too and was just in Bath and Body picking out a candle, and I went in thinking we were getting a lavendar candle, but when Al smelled the lilac, that's what we walked out the door with.
