Bear Hugs Are the Best

 My granddaughter turned 8 years old recently.  She has had a bear -- well since forever.  It is her bear from birth!  And it's name is Bear!  For young children that is forever.  

I colored the bears with Copic markers.  I sponged over the top of the paper that had been in a 6x6 embossing folder.  These bears and the verse are from Colorado Crafts Company, and were drawn by Anita Jeram.   I used the matching dies to cut out hugging bears.  

I believe she will enjoy her birthday card!

Salt Water

This beautiful sea shell and sea weed background was dry embossed in an embossing folder first. Then I  spritzed  it with several overlapping shades of Shimmering Bliss.  I heat embossed the verse Saltwater Heals on pink vellum and attached it with my Xyron machine,

The lady from Red Lipstick Day goes marvelously with the saying Gluestick.   Glasses Stencil created the background.  I used black and white posies  designer paper.

More People Like You!

I used Poppies and Roses for the background of this card.  I stamped it with Versamark ink and clear embossed it.    My Versamark pad was dirty so it didn't turn out white.   Then I heavily and deeply burnished ink over the top.  I spritzed it with Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper.   The die cut was adhered with glue to the frame that was die cut.  Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper and a few sequins were added.

Many Paws!

I used the very fun stamp Many Paws and colored it with Copic markers.  The green cats on the card was foiled with Spring Green Heat Transfer Foil but without a laminator!  I used my Big Shot and Transfer Gel Duo.  I used the Cat Back Stencil for the card and to sponge color on the envelope.

Dream!!

I used an embossing folder and used the same color ink as the card stock to highlight the raised areas.  I sprayed several shades of Shimmering Bliss over the the embossing folder.  Then the focal image was on a scrap piece of paper that I was showing a friend how to use the Cloud Edger Stencil to create a nature scene.  I used a sticky note to create the horizon line.  I used the stencil to create the bushes or trees, and the clouds.  A sponge dauber created the sun. I drew branches in the trees/bushes free hand as well as the birds in the sky.  I just used the word dream from the stamp set Road Trip.

For the background, I used an embossing folder and a sponge to highlight the leaves.  I used the set Floral Frame Square, set of 5 for this card.   I colored the floral parts with Copic markers.

Grow Giggles

 I used Secret Garden for the background, and Plant Smiles for the foreground image.  I chose to not color every image but just select a few from heat embossed background.  Then I lightly spritzed Mindaro Shimmering Bliss over all.  I stamped Plant Smiles   and heat embossed it.  Then I spritzed Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss in the middle and Mindaro Shimmering Bliss on the top and bottom. As with the nature of sprays there was some overlap and that is just OK!!

Overrated!!

The saying Adulting is Overrated is something many of us could say.  My daughter will sometimes say, "I'm done adulting for today."  I had never heard the term "adulting" until recent years, but as soon as I heard it I understood the meaning.  With the background of Flatware, the  Happy Housewife certainly looks like she is done adulting for the day. 

I heat embossed the Flatware background with white embossing powder.  Then I burnished various shades of ink over the embossed Flatware.  The Happy Housewife was colored with Copic Markers.  I heat embossed Adulting is Overrated and then sponged the same colors of ink from the background around the edges.  Two rhinestone earrings finish the Happy Housewife.

Life is Wonderful

One of the things I enjoy about stamping is using stamps out of the sets they came with.  I chosen to use Carved Relief for the background on a piece of vanilla card stock.  I stamped it with a dirty Versamark ink pad, and covered it with clear embossing powder.   Then I heavily burnished dark brown ink overall.  I spritzed Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss  over all.  I repeated the same process with words from SS120 Floral Frame Square Set of 5.    Adding the light blue ribbon tied it all in together.

I used Grunge Flag in my stamping platform and inked up only the stars with a dark blue ink.  I inked it several times unit was as dark as I wanted.  I repeated the same process with red ink for the stripes, inking frequently until the stripes were as dark as I wanted.    Then I used markers for the Home of the Brave stamp over Versamark ink in my stamping platform so I could ink up the words and have them as dark as I wanted.  Then I cleaned the stamp, and reinked it with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I framed part of the image and the words with gold glitter paper.

I stamped Plant Smiles and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.   I paired it with a piece of beautiful floral background paper.  I sprayed Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss spray over all.
