Out of Darkness

I used 3 Technique Junkies Stamps for this card: Sailboat Line Sketch, Anchors Background,  and a verse from Lighthouse Sentiments.  I used Copic markers to color the sailor and the boat.  I used blending brushes to color the water and with the Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Designs Stencils for the sky.

Chickin' In!

I used a couple of shades of Shimmering Bliss to add color to Mornin' On the Farm!  I used Chestnut Mare for the fields plowed and ready to plant!  I used a few light spritzes of Vivid Volt on the sky, and added yellow ink around the sun on a finger dauber.   I used Copic markers to add the highlights on the rooster and house.  The verse is from Chicken  Sayings.

Bloom with Happiness

I used Butterfly Flourish Collage and a verse from In Full Bloom Sentiments.  Then I used the Tropical Leaves Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.   It is a truly beautiful stencil.  Using blending brushes I used an leafy green ink and then a bright pink ink for the center of the leaves.  After I removed the stencil I used the blending brush add a light touch of green over the white parts of the leaves.  I used a bright  blue Copic marker to color the butterfly.  The verse was heat embossed on vellum.  Adhesive was applied using a Xyron machine.

Beach Day

 I used At the Beach Border and Beach Day for the stamps.  The verse was heat embossed. I used blending brushes to color the beach and the water, and with the Cloud Edger Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  I used Copic markers to add highlights to the scene.

Shimmering Bliss Lighthouses

I used Lighthouses and sprayed them with two shades of  Shimmering Bliss - Ocean Depth and Mindaro.    The verse is from Lighthouse Sentiments.   I heated embossed with detail black embossing powder so the images and words would really stand out.  The heat embossed powder also resisted the sprays and it would wipe off.

Have Faith

We all need a card to encourage us from time to time.  This stamp is easily one to encourage.  It is Accept What Is.  I colored the floral image with Copic Markers and added a bit of pink.  I used the pretty Primitive Batik Stencil created by A Colorful Life Design.  I applied color using blending brushes  through the stencil.  I used same color on the white background and on the pale yellow color behind it.

Most Alive!

Isn't this a fun sketch of a sailor?  It is called Sailboat Line Sketch.  I watercolored the image.  It was part of the June release and it just goes so well with the verse Feel Most Alive.  

I used the Cloud Edger stencil to create the clouds and a bit of sunshine peeking through behind the sailboat.  I also used the Layered Waves Stencils from A Colorful Life Designs.

 Doesn't this rooster remind you of one on a cereal box?  It did me so  I tried to color him very similar to my memory of that cereal box.  I used blending brushes and added some highlights with Copic markers.    Morning on the Farm and  a verse from Lighthouse sentiments are the stamps I used.  They are both from the July release.

I am sure you know  and have experienced there are times in our lives that what we had hoped for does not happen.  There are many times this happens in life.    This verse is just so very true.

My first card features two new stamps:  Beach Border  and Feel Most Alive.   Using my stamping platform, I stamped the image twice and used a strip of ribbon to cover up where it didn't match up perfectly.   I sponged the water and the clouds using the Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Design.  She has beautiful stencils. Using Copic markers I carefully added bit of color on the images.   I watercolored the sand.  The verse was heat embossed.

My next card will be for a granddaughter's birthday in July.  She loves ice cream.  I  used Pom Pom Swag for the background.   I used Sweet Birthday for the focal image and verse.  I colored the ice cream with Copic markers.
