Pile of Leaves

I stamped Pile of Leaves with  Versafine black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I added color with sponge daubers.  I wrapped a ribbon on the center of the card.   I stamped a verse from Leaf Corner Sentiments and heat embossed it on a piece of vellum.  Because it was too sheer to see the verse over the leaves, I used several pieces of torn vellum to enable the verse to be clearly read.  Each piece had adhesive  added with a Xyron machine.

Let Things Go

I used Leaf Set 1 stencil and Leaf Set 2 Stencil to create the background.   I added several colors of ink for blending colors on the leaves -- you know just like real fall leaves.  Then I added a die cut leaf stamped with Pile of Leaves.  The verse is heat embossed from Leaf Corner Sentiments.  I brushed on a light blue ink in the while spaces using blending brushes.

Something of the Marvelous

I used this scenic die cut background.  I cut the trees and houses 3 times and layered them so they a 3D dimensional aspect to the card.   The verse is from Leaf corner Sentiments and heat embossed on vellum.  I ran the vellum strip through my Xyron machine to add adhesive.

Rain Showers and Water

When my husband and I moved to south central PA  in 2003, we were very pleasantly surprised to discover that real winter didn't really start until January.  Once in a while there might be snow in December but that is rare.  It was 68 degrees on Christmas Day!!

I used the Rainy Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs  and used blending brushes to add color.    The verse is from the set Rain Sentiments from the September TJ release. I sponged green ink for grass.  Then I added Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper.

Life is Art

I used a Fall leaves embossing folder.  I used a stiff round cylindrical sponge  and rubbed ink over the dry embossed area.  I also used some die cut leaves which I also used Pile of Leaves over the top.  The verse is from Live in Color and I cut the verse off of the feather.

Nature is Marvelous

I used Leaf Collage  and a verse from Leaf Corner Sentiments.  To add color to the collage stamp I two different Kaliedacolor pads that I purchased eons ago.   I heat embossed the verse with Versafine ink and clear embossing powder.  I sponged the verse with ink of the same shade  as the cardstock for the base card.

Autumn Fold Out Card

I saw a card that was similar to this on a blog.  Mine is very different from that one because I used different measurements all together.  

I used  a verse from Leaf Corner Sentiments and Pile of Leaves.    I stamped Pile of Leaves on the front panel and added color from mica sprays.  I  stamped Pile of Leaves on top of the leaves that were die cut.

The main card is a standard A2 size - 5 1/2 by 8 1/2  and scored at 4 1/4.   The inside yellow panel is 5 1/4 x 8 1/4.  It is scored  at 4 inches, and again 2 1/8 from the other side.  

Use a die of the shape and size of your choosing for the front. Then choose a similar shaped die that is 

slightly larger than the front cut out.  Choose the images and embellishments of your choosing for the front and the inside.

Hey Ya'll!!

I used Leaf Collage and heat embossed it with black ink and clear embossing powder.  I used a finger dauber and various  dye based ink pads to add color.  The yellow back ground was Shimmering Bliss sprayed before stamping the focal image.   The saying on the tag is from a set called Butter My Butt, set of 8.

Best Game

This is football season as if you didn't know.  Personally,  I am not "into" sports.  But I have gone to a ton of elementary school, junior high school, and high school sports games and activities for my children, and now my grandchildren.  I  went and I go in support of my children or grandchildren.  However, I know that some people view a particular sport as the best.  My nephews view baseball as the best.  My brother-in-law views football as the best.  Other relatives  view tennis or golf as the 

best.  Some like  basketball the best.  This stamp and sentiment reflect the view of many. 

 

The verse is Best Game Ever.   The focal image stamp is Football in Motion.  I used the wonderful Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Stencil for the sky.

Beautiful Autumn

New Stamps in September! How fun!   And they are lovely.  If you want to see ALL of the new TJ stamps for September release go here.  

For this card above I  used Leaf Corner Sentiments and Pile of Leaves.  I used mica shimmer sprays.  I sprayed 2 pieces of white card stock sprayed.  I dried them and then stamped the images in a stamping platform with Memento black ink. I die cut the leaf, and added the image from Pile of Leaves.  

Then I covered both the focal image and the die cut leaf with Versamark ink.  I covered them with clear  embossing powder, and repeated until  there was a thick coat. Because of the nature of  mica sprays 

and Versamark ink combined with clear embossing powder, the mica in the sprays has a tendency to move around in the hot melted embossing powder.  There is no way to control this.

Spectacular September - New Stamps on Sale!!

It is September and lots of new things happening -- school has started again, colleges are back in session, and there are new stamps in the Technique Junkies lineup.   The theme is FALL   All kinds of terrific stamps to get us thinking  about FALL and the various things people enjoy about Fall.

My first card uses a mica glimmer spray on the card  and then heat set, and then stamped.  The leaves in the upper right corner were embossed and die cut.  Then some black ink smeared over the embossed leaf lines.  The two stamps I used are:  Leaf Collage and a verse from Corner Sentiments.

Then I used this fun stencil called Rain Stencil  made for TJ by A Colorful Life Designs.  I applied ink through the stencil with blending brushes.   Then I heat embossed a verse from Rain Sentiments on vellum.  I rai it through a Xyron machine to put adhesive on the back side.
