Christmas in July! A Challenge and a Sale!

Today Pat Huntoon, owner of Technique Junkies Stamps, announced a Christmas in July Challenge.  The Christmas Challenge officially begins on July 17th and will run from July 17 to July 26.  However, she is giving you a special discount of 25% off of all the Christmas category Technique Junkies stamps beginning TODAY July 13 through July 27!   Use the code JULYXMAS.   And Pat Huntoon says, "And what would the holidays be without presents? Every order with a Christmas stamp will also receive a free gift from us, too."

The Christmas Challenge Grand Prize will be ALL of the August Stamps - a value of  $145.00!! WOW!! How awesome is that.  You have the opportunity to order Christmas Stamps now to create cards so you have time to get your order placed and shipped so you can be making Christmas cards for the Challenge!  See Pat Huntoon's post on the Design Team blog here!  That will give you all the details!

Now I will tell you a little secret:  When Pat told the Design Time she was considering doing a Christmas challenge, I was still stuck in Florida due to Covid19! Because I go to Florida in early January for the winter, I do not take  Christmas stamps with me!  I panicked.  People who know me well, know I like to plan ahead and I like to be prepared for things in advance.  So I looked at the stamps I had in Florida at the time and created Christmas cards out of unusual stamps.  I did have a few "snow theme stamps" and I used those too.

I will be making some Christmas cards with stamps from the Christmas category (20% off with the code JULYXMAS) from July 13 - to July 31. But there will be some of these cards made with unusual stamps on my blog as well.

Here is one of those Christmas cards I made  from non traditional Christmas stamps.  I used Kitty Watching and Retro Sparkles.   To create the brick work I used a dye based marker here and there on the bricks in an embossing folder.   Then I embossed some rusty red cardstock  and that transferred the ink onto the cardstock.  I used Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper over the bricks.   The envelope was stamped with an old stamp Breathe.    I used a die cut for Merry Christmas from red glitter paper.  The cat was colored with Copic markers and I fussy cut it out.

I hope you use the Christmas stamp code, JULYXMAS, and go shopping.  Let's see what you can make! 25% off your order of all Christmas stamps and a free gift stamp as well!  WOW!!

Have a great day -- and GET INKY.  Merry Christmas in July!
