Blue Daisies

This Echinacea stamp is so gorgeous!  And it is fun to watercolor.   I used a variety of colors of Shimmering Bliss to watercolor this flower stamp.

It is so versatile, it could be  a card for almost any occasion.

Story of the Earth

To create this scene I used three colors of Shimmering Bliss Spray and quickly sprayed across the sky.  I started at the bottom with Mindaro Shimmering Bliss.  The next color was Festive Flamingo Shimmering Bliss.  And the last color was Lapis Lazuli Shimmering Bliss.

Then I stamped Desert Landscape Border with black pigment ink and heat embossed it with detail black embossing powder.  Grain of Sand was stamped and heat embossed on vellum.  I used my Xyron machine to adhere it.

Tropical Floral

I ran the background through an embossing folder.   I had spritzed it first with green Shimmering Bliss sprays.   Then I used a small sponge and very lightly burnished green Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.

I used Nuvo Glitter Markers in several color to watercolor the flowers and leaves.  The verse Do Something Creative was heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.

My Mind is like -----

I used the typewriter stamp from Typewriter Set.  Then I used a couple stencils from A Colorful Life Stencils to add some visual interest.  I used Nuvo Mousse through the stencils.  This particular product is in the clearance section, and has limited colors available.

Internet Browser  is stamped on vellum and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I first inked the stamp with Versamark.  Then I went over each line with a different color marker.  I used one of my Xyron machines to adhere it to the front of the card.

The Rooster and The Hen

This is a Z-card. There are lots of directions for this on the internet.  I used The Rooster May Crow and Time to Celebrate as the greeting inside the card. Regular bright background paper added to the card.

The focal image  was painter with watercolors, and the two chickens were were painted over with Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Pens to add a bit of shimmer.

Beautiful Minds

I used Dreaming of Wings  and Beautiful Minds to create this card. The greeting was heat embossed with detail black embossing powder.  Both stamps are Technique Junkies Stamps. Her face, skin, and hair are colored with Copic markers. Her dress and some highlights on her hair were colored with Shimmering Bliss Sprays.

To create the background paper I did an experiment with some new product TJ is carrying.  I really like the Antique Glimmers  technique.  It is very versatile. 

I used Aladine IZINK inks, water, and lots of  Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Spray.   I learned that while the colors are beautiful, and easy to paint with, they need lots of water and a glimmer spray to move for this technique. I would do it again knowing that next time it would be best to start with a good sized pool of water on my work surface,  then add the inks, and then spray with the Dazzle Shimmering Bliss spray,  Then dip my paper into the various colors.

Explore, Dream, Discover

I used two Technique Junkies Stamps to create this card. The saying is from  Road Trip, and the desert scene is Desert Landscape Border.

The mountains are from three shades of colored vellum cut with a mountain die.  I used my Versamark Marker to edge the tallest mountains and heat embossed some white embossing powder for snow.  Did you know that if you don't have a circle or moon stamp you can use your index finger inked up with white pigment ink and create a moon by swirling the ink in a tight circle?  Heat emboss it with white embossing powder.

I sponged on a variety of colors on white card stock to create a sunset sky before adding the mountains.

Blooming Rose

  I watercolored this beautiful Rose Frame stamp.  From another blog I learned if you stamp in a pale yellow dye based ink  you can see where to watercolor and it ends up looking like a "no line" watercolor.  Isn't that cool?  Then to finish it off you use a few water color pencils to add details.

Then I used one of the sentiments from Full Bloom Sentiments, and stamped it on vellum.  I heat embossed the verse  with detail gold embossing powder.

I added shimmer to the roses with a Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua pen. I used Nuvo drops as embellishments along with  a few beads.  I also added a few splatters.  I really like the way this card turned out and will be using it as a wedding card for a friend.

Delivering the Goods

The Rooster May Crow is a fun stamp.   I watercolored the scene with Shimmering Bliss. I used the Grunge Dots stencil for the bottom, and the ray stencil for the top.  I wanted it to look like the sun was coming up and grass on the bottom.

Discover!!

I used this lovely Desert Landscape Border to create this card.  I used a home made cloud stencil for the sky.  The birds are not a stamp but hand drawn with a fine point black pen. 

I used only the word "Discover" from the Beauty of Winter stamp. There is much to discover in the desert - hence why I used this stamp!

Gorgeous Sunflower

Did you know I am a Kansas girl?  I was born in Wichita at the Wesley Hospital.  However, I only lived in Wichita for about 6 weeks as my Dad was in the army and already stationed in Hawaii. The Army said my Mom and brother couldn't go until I was born.  So six weeks old I was on the way across the country to board a ship to sail to Hawaii.  No super highways, no internet to find a hotel along the way, and it was already winter in the Rocky Mountains that we had to cross somewhere.  So my mother, my aunt,  my grandmother, my brother, and our dog Sally traveled across the southern route through southern Arizona.  And they still ran into a blizzard! That delayed travel a couple of days.  No disposable diapers either. So those were washed out by hand in the motel bathroom.  They were hung to dry on a rigged up clothesline over the tub.  No motel laundromats in those days!  Of course the diapers were not dry by morning.  So some were hung to dry between the front and back seats, and some were hung to dry on the radio antennae!  I imagine that was quite the sight!

This beautiful Framed Sunflower is so pretty!  And it was so easy to paint.  It is layered on brown card stock run through a wood embossing folder.  I sponged some brown ink over the embossed areas to bring out the detail.

My first card uses the new stamp  that I know pet lovers will adore!  Fur Baby states what pet lovers feel!  I paired the sentiment with the doggies from All Shapes.  I fussy cut them and drew some grass with the green gel pen from the Kaisercraft-KaiserColour Glitter Gel Pens.

This next card is watercolored with with Aladine inks. I used Cactus and Amethyst shades.  I used Ocean Depth Shimmering Bliss spray to watercolor the sky.  The stamps are Echinacea and In Full Bloom Sentiments .

This lovely lady in Dreaming of Wings was so easy to watercolor.   I used Copic markers for her skin.  I used a variety of shimmery card stock.
