I used markers and my stamping platform to stamp Pine Branch.  I would apply the side of the dye based markers to the various areas of the stamp and continue to do so until all of the stamp is completely inked to my satisfaction.  Then I chose a stamp from Scripted Holidays and stamped it on vellum and heat embossed it.  Then I double the velum to create a thicker vellum so the words could be more easily read.

Warm Winter Wishes

I stamped Snow Covered Pines on white card stock.  I stamped the greeting from the set Scripted Holidays.  I wanted it heat embossed in the same green as the trees.  But I used a dye based ink - not very heat embossable because it dries too quickly.  Here is how to do it.  I inked up stamped with Versamark ink. I stamped on a scrap of white card stock placed in my stamping platform. Then I inked the same stamp with the green ink making sure I had full coverage.  I cleaned the stamp and reinked it with Versamark, and then heat embossed it with detail clear embossing powder.  I spritzed Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper all over to create the image of shimmering snow.

Let it Snow

I created a shaker card with Let It Snow. I colored it with the new Distress Water color pencils.  I trimmed it down and applied it to the poinsettia paper bordered with black card stock.  Then I slipped it inside a clear cellophane envelope. I added a few snow sprinkles and then folded over the excess envelope and taped it down securely.  I adhered it to the based card.  Then I stamped Jingle All the Way on vellum and heat embossed it.  I die cut to vellum in scalloped embossed circle and adhered it on the front.  A festive card!

Merry Christmas

 I used Embellished Merry Christmas to stamp on a panel and then frame it with red card stock and layer it on this lovely background paper.  I heat embossed it with black sparkle embossing powder.  Sometimes a simple to create card is what you want to go with.

Here Comes Santa

I used the Classic Santa and colored him with the new Distress Water color pencils.  I chose a verse from the Scripted Holidays greeting set and applied it to the front of the card.

Christmas Tree

I stamped Christmas Tree with Gifts  on white card stock.  I used a stamping platform.  I first used black Memento ink for only the gifts.  Then I  used several shades of green dye based inks on the tree in order to create shading and some minor visual depth.  I colored the gifts with Copic markers.  I dye cut the teee skirt which was reall part of a wreath die.   I dry embossed some brown card stock in a wood grain embossing folder and used a stiff sponge to show up the wood grain.  I fussy cut around the gifts and slipped the tree skirt and wood flooring under the tree. I used a variety of Nuvo drops to add the colored lights and  balls to the tree.  I cut apart the words on the Vertical Merry Christmas to place the words on either side of the tree.

Bright Lights

Christmas needs Christmas lights!  I stamped Christmas Lights  with Versamark in on black card stock.  I heat embossed the lights with detail gold embossing powder.   I painted the lights with Smooch paints.  When dry I put Crystal Effects on each light bulb.  I stamped a greeting from Scripted Holidays with Versamark ink on black card stock  and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I trimmed and layered everything to complete the card

Beachy Christmas

I love going to the beach and watching the waves.  This Seashell Christmas honors the beach.  It pairs very nicely with Beachy Christmas.  The shells are colored with Copic markers and highlighted with Nuvo drops  applied in lines.  The beach is sponged with several colors of ink.  I used the Cloud Edger Stencil to create the cloudy sky.

Spectacular October's New Technique Junkie's Stamps

Yahoo!  It is time for another Technique Junkies Christmas release!    

There are stamps to appeal to everyone.  Stamps range from the whimsical to religious.  And there is  collection of great verses for your cards.  Be sure to look at the blog hop posts for each of our design team members.  I have seen their work and it is outstanding!  

I have two cards to share with you today.  The first one uses the  Classic Santa. This one is smaller than the background Santa and allows you to have background paper showing which is exactly what I did.  I paired it with a verse from Scripted Holidays.   I used water color pencils to color my Santa.

I used Fir Forest and stamped it twice. THe second stamping was slightly off-set so there would be more depth to the trees.  Then I used blending brushes and the Cloud Edger stencil  to create the sky.  I used Dazzle Shimmering Bliss Topper.  to add the illusion of it snowing.  The verse is stamped with white pigment ink and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder.. The verse is from Scripted Holidays.    It has six great verses.   I had some great background paper of fir trees that I used.
