This is gorgeous embossing folder paired with a sentiment from Technique Junkies Mae West Sentiments.  The base card is metallic paper and I used my Copic markers to color the embossed flowers.

Success!!

Success is a wonderful thing -- especially after you have worked  very hard to accomplish something difficult.    Learning to play the violin and do it well would be a great success!  I used Technique Junkies Violin Collage   and  Define Success to create this card.

Zinnias and a Butterfiy

This beautiful Zinnias With Monarch stamp creates a lovely image to color.  Of course it is a Technique Junkies stamp!   I watercolored it, layered it, and added a little bling to create the focal image.

Then I positioned it on a piece of background paper treated with Distress Oxide sprays, and added some Nuvo Embellishment mousse through A Colorful Life Stencils.  There are not many colors left of the mousse as Pat Huntoon has these on clearance.

A Garden of Flowers

This is a non-typical card.  The front flap is the focal point is stamped with Technique Junkies Floral Border and then water colored with colors from the background paper. The greeting on the inside of the card is from the Technique Junkies stamp set In Full Bloom Sentiments.

Ruffle Your Feathers??

I used the very cute Ruffle Your Feathers from the Technique Junkies May Stamp release.  The rooster was colored with  my Copic markers.  I added a few sequin type embellishments to the focal image.

The background paper was created from a piece  of  8x8 inch paper  commercially available  from a "big box store."  I sprayed several colors of Distress Chalk ink sprays. I have learned that spraying over some type of background paper gives you a more interesting look than just spraying over plain white card stock.  At least I liked it better.  Then I used several stencils here and there over the sprays.  I used Lace Doily Stencil, Wispy Vines Stencil,  and an Art Anthology Stencil called Dot Matrix. 

Then I added ink here and there to the Technique Junkies French Text.  I stamped the randomly inked areas here and there on the background. 

The burlap ribbon is really straight, I just have a hard time take an absolutely straight picture!

Life in Full Color!

I used Copic markers to color in the feather in image stamped with the Technique Junkies Live in Color stamp.  The background and the  top layer on the card are created with Color Burst .  I created this card in Florida and I am writing this post in Pennsylvania so I have no idea exactly which Color Burst I used.

Define Success!

I modified a "sketch" layout for this card.  I don't even remember where I saw this layout.Various background papers and layering complete the background. 

I heat embossed the Technique Junkies Stamps Define Success and then die cut it with a scalloped circle die.  Sponging and layering  and a bit of bling complete the card.

The greeting is a terrific way to say Congratulations on your graduation, your promotion,  new job, retirement, or something else worth saying Hooray for you!

With Sympathy

The focal image on this card is a dry embossed piece of white card stock.  I inked up a brayer with navy ink and rolled it onto the half of the embossing folder that had the indentations.  Then the card stock was embossed with navy ink on the part that was not embossed. 

I stamped the greeting on white card stock and punched it out.  Other punched pieces were added behind the greeting.

Because I Said So!

I don't know about you, but my mother and father said these types of things a lot.  And I am sure I said quite a few of them as well.  When I first saw this new Technique Junkies release of Because I Said  So stamp I thought of the Technique Junkies stamp Hat Ladies. 

I opted to only use the one lady of the two on the stamp.  I paper pieced her dress and hat.  A string of pears are the buttons on her dress, and tiny sequins are her ear rings.  I fussy cut the lady and adhered her to the top layer of the focal image.  The Because I Said So image was stamped a piece of white card stock sprayed with Distress Chalk Inks sprays.

Stand Tall!!

This is such a beautiful stamp! This May release Technique Junkies stamp is called is called Zinnias With Monarch.  The verse is from the stamp Stand Tall.  Zinnias do stand straight and tall and don't flop over like some flowers do.

I used Twinkling H2O's to paint this image, including the sky.

This is my first card using two of the New May Release Stamps!  I used Happy Housewife and Because I said So.  Of course, you can see that the one stamp was stamp on each side of the the card front. I used washi tape for the floor. I colored the housewife with my Copic markers, and I paper pieced the bathrobe. I also spritzed a bit of pale blue Shimmering Bliss!

My second card uses Ruffle Your Feathers.  The rooster is colored with my Copic markers, and I sponged the sky.  I used a stencil from A Colorful Life Stencils with two colors of  Technique Junkie Shimmering Bliss sprays.
