Many Marvelous New Technique Junkies Stamps

I have two cards for you today!!  I used two new stamps Asian Bamboo Garden and I Believe in You.   

I stamped the background stamp with white pigment ink and heated embossed detail white embossing powder.  Then I sprayed 3 colors of shimmer spray overlapping the colors.  I buffed of the shimmer spray because the heat embossing created a resist.  But if you do not buff it off, it might sink into the white powder.  

I have a friend who is expecting a wonderful surprise - a new baby.  After 3 girls, the family is excited to welcome the first boy!! This sweet elephant family is just perfect for welcoming a new wee baby! Slimline Elephant Family and Bundle of Joy  pair together beautifully.  To color the elephant I stamped it several times.  I first stamped it with Versamark, next was a soft crumb color, then a gray color, and lastly  I cleaned the stamp, and reinked it very well with Versamark ink.  I made sure there was a very good amount of  Versamark.  Then I dipped the image in my container of detail clear embossing powder and heat set.    To create the ground  I used the same soft crumb color direct to paper from the ink pad.  I did the same thing with a soft green ink.  I repeated the soft crumb color.  I used the Cloud Edger Stencil from a Colorful Life Designs to crate the sky.
